Transparent Implant Pricing from the Start
Understanding the cost of dental implants before you commit to a consultation is something most patients want, and it is something we are glad to provide. The fees listed on this page are a guide. Your confirmed, itemised treatment cost will always be provided in writing following your free consultation with Dr Nikhil Oberai, before any treatment begins.
Implant costs vary between patients because the treatment required depends on the clinical findings at assessment. How many implants are needed, whether bone grafting is required, and the type of restoration being placed all affect the total cost. The consultation is the only reliable way to give you a precise figure, and because it is completely free, there is no cost to finding out exactly what your treatment would involve.
We do not charge hidden extras. We do not add costs after the fact. The price in your treatment plan is the price you pay.
Why One Patient’s Implant Cost Differs from Another’s
Dental implant treatment is not a single procedure with a single price. It is a clinical pathway that varies significantly between patients depending on several factors.
The Number of Implants Required
A patient replacing a single missing tooth needs one implant. A patient replacing a full arch of missing teeth needs four to six. The number of implants placed is one of the most significant drivers of the overall treatment cost.
Whether Bone Grafting Is Needed
When a tooth has been missing for some time, the bone at that site can reduce in volume through a process called resorption. Where insufficient bone remains for a standard implant placement, bone augmentation or a sinus graft may be needed to rebuild the site before implants are placed. These are separate procedures with their own costs, which are listed clearly in the fee guide below.
The Type of Restoration
The restoration that sits on top of the implant, whether a single crown, a bridge, a full arch prosthesis, or an implant retained denture, varies in complexity and cost. A standard implant crown costs differently to a full arch zirconia prosthesis designed and manufactured as part of a comprehensive smile rehabilitation.
The Complexity of the Case
Cases that require sedation, advanced surgical techniques, CBCT imaging, or sinus lifting involve additional clinical steps that are reflected in the overall cost. Dr Nik will assess the complexity of your case thoroughly at your consultation and confirm all costs in writing before you agree to anything.

What You Get at Your Free Implant Consultation
A free implant consultation at Heritage Smile Group is a genuine clinical appointment, not a sales pitch. Here is what it covers.
- A Full Clinical Assessment Dr Nik examines your teeth, gums, and bone thoroughly. He assesses the site or sites where implants are being considered and reviews your dental and medical history for any factors that are relevant to implant treatment.
- Radiographic Assessment X-rays and, where clinically indicated, a CBCT scan are used to assess the bone volume and quality at the implant site or sites. Understanding the bone anatomy is essential for accurate treatment planning and realistic cost confirmation.
- A Clear Treatment Plan Following the assessment, Dr Nik produces a detailed treatment plan that specifies exactly what treatment is being recommended, in what sequence, and why. This is the document from which your confirmed cost is drawn.
- An Honest Cost Breakdown Every element of your treatment is itemised. You will know exactly what each stage costs and what the total investment is before you agree to anything. There are no hidden extras and no costs added after the fact.
- Time to Ask Every Question You Have The consultation is your opportunity to ask anything you want to know about the treatment, the timeline, the recovery, the long-term outcome, and anything else. Dr Nik will answer honestly and without pressure.

- What Each Fee Covers
Understanding The Cost Of Each Treatment
Single Implant Placement
from £1,300
The surgical placement of one dental implant into the jawbone. This fee covers the clinical appointment, local anaesthetic, the implant itself, and the placement procedure carried out by Dr Nik. The implant crown and abutment, which are the visible components that sit on top of the implant, are priced separately at from £1,000 as they are manufactured following the integration period.
Dental Implant Crown and Abutment
from £1,000
The abutment is the connector that joins the implant to the crown. The crown is the custom-made ceramic tooth that is visible above the gumline. Together they are placed at a separate appointment following the integration period, typically three to four months after implant placement. Both components are custom-made and colour-matched to the surrounding teeth.
Same-Day Implants (single)
from £2,000
For patients where immediate implant placement is clinically appropriate at the time of tooth extraction, a single implant can be placed in the same appointment as the extraction, removing the need for a separate surgical appointment. The from £2,000 fee covers the combined extraction and immediate implant placement.
Implant Bridge Replacing 3 Teeth
from £3,500
Two implants placed to support a bridge of three consecutive teeth. This fee covers the implant placement surgery, the bridge fabrication, and the fitting. A fixed, permanent solution for patients missing two to three consecutive teeth that leaves the adjacent natural teeth completely untouched.
Implant Retained Dentures (per arch)
from £5,000
Two to four implants placed to stabilise a denture in one arch. The denture is removed for cleaning but clicks securely into the implants during the day, eliminating the movement and instability of a conventional denture. The from £5,000 fee is per arch and covers the implants and the implant-retained denture prosthesis.
Bone Augmentation
from £450
Bone augmentation is the addition of bone graft material to a site where insufficient bone volume exists for standard implant placement. This commonly occurs when a tooth has been missing for some time and the bone has resorbed. The graft integrates with the existing bone over a healing period of several months before implant placement can proceed. The from £450 fee covers the grafting procedure at a single site.
Sinus Graft
from £500
A sinus graft is a procedure used to add bone material to the floor of the maxillary sinus in the upper jaw. It is used when the sinus has expanded into the space where implants need to be placed and there is insufficient bone depth. The graft creates the bone volume needed for secure upper jaw implant placement.
Sinus Lift
from £850
A sinus lift is a more involved version of the sinus grafting procedure, used when the bone beneath the sinus floor is more significantly reduced. The sinus membrane is lifted to create space for bone graft material, which then integrates over a healing period before implants are placed.
Sedation
Price on consultation
Conscious sedation is available for patients who would find implant treatment more comfortable in a relaxed, semi-conscious state. The cost of sedation depends on the duration and nature of the treatment being carried out and is confirmed at your consultation.

- Frequently Asked Questions
Questions Patients Ask About Implant Costs
How much does a single dental implant cost in Cheshire?
A single dental implant at Heritage Smile Group starts from £1,300 for the implant placement and from £1,000 for the crown and abutment, giving a total from £2,300 for a complete single tooth replacement. The exact cost depends on the clinical findings at your free consultation, including whether any bone augmentation is required. Finance options are available.
Why do some practices charge less for implants?
Implant costs vary between practices based on the experience and qualifications of the placing clinician, the quality of the implant components used, the level of clinical planning involved, and the standard of the restoration. A lower price does not always represent a worse outcome, but it is worth understanding what is included and who is placing the implant before making a decision based on cost alone. At Heritage Smile Group, all implants are placed by Dr Nikhil Oberai who holds an MSc in Implant Dentistry from the University of Manchester.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. There is no charge for an implant consultation at Heritage Smile Group. The consultation involves a full clinical assessment, a discussion of your treatment options, and a written cost breakdown. You are under no obligation to proceed following the consultation.
Are there any costs I might not be aware of?
The fee guide on this page covers the main implant treatment costs. Additional costs that can apply in some cases include bone augmentation where bone volume is insufficient, sinus grafting or lifting for upper jaw implants in patients with low bone, CBCT scanning for complex planning, and sedation for patients who prefer treatment in a relaxed state. All of these are discussed and confirmed at your consultation before any agreement is made.
Can I spread the cost of implant treatment?
Yes. Finance options are available at Heritage Smile Group so the cost of implant treatment can be spread over monthly payments. Details of available finance options are discussed at your consultation alongside your treatment plan.
How long do dental implants last?
The implant itself, once integrated with the jawbone, is designed to last a lifetime with proper care. Dr Nikhil Oberai carries a 99.5% implant success rate. The crown on top of the implant is highly durable but may eventually need replacing after many years depending on wear and oral hygiene. Long-term outcomes are supported by regular check-up and hygiene appointments.
Will I need bone grafting and will that increase my costs?
Whether bone grafting is needed depends on the bone volume at the implant site, which is assessed using x-rays and clinical examination at your consultation. Many patients do not need bone grafting and the placement can proceed straightforwardly. Where grafting is needed, this will always be discussed and confirmed in writing before it forms part of the agreed treatment plan.
