The Clinician Other Dentists Trust with Their Hardest Cases
Most people who book with Dr Nik arrive one of two ways. Either they have been referred by another dental practice in Cheshire that does not offer implant treatment at this level, or they have spent months researching and finally decided they want someone they can genuinely trust.
Both types of patients tend to say the same thing after their first consultation: they wish they had come sooner.
Dr Nik has spent his entire career focused on a single discipline. Not dentistry in general, not a wide menu of treatments, but implant dentistry specifically. The kind that changes how people look, how they eat, how they speak, and most importantly, how they feel about themselves every time they catch their reflection.
That focus is not an accident. It is a deliberate choice that has produced a 99.9% implant success rate across hundreds of cases, and a reputation across the North West that now precedes him.

- His Background
A Career Built Around One Thing
Dr Nik qualified from Manchester Dental School in 2008 and, from early in his career, knew that implant dentistry was where he wanted to focus. Not as a side offering. Not as an add-on to a general dental list. As the thing he would become genuinely exceptional at.
He returned to the University of Manchester to complete his Master’s degree in Dental Implantology, one of the most rigorous postgraduate qualifications in the field. The programme is assessed, clinically demanding, and takes years to complete properly. It is not a weekend course with a certificate. It is the kind of training that changes how a clinician thinks, not just what they can do.
Since qualifying at postgraduate level, he has gone on to teach the same programme, mentoring the next generation of implant dentists as an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University of Manchester. He also serves as a clinical mentor at the Cambridge Implant Academy and as an external examiner for the BAIRD Implant Course, reviewing the work of other clinicians training in the field.
In 2014, alongside Dr Natasja Kashyap, he took on Brunner Court Dental and Implant Practice in Northwich, transforming it into one of Cheshire’s most recognised implant and cosmetic practices. In 2021 they expanded, taking stewardship of Croft Dental and Implant Practice in Wilmslow, bringing the same standard of care to the east of the county.
Heritage Smile Group was the natural next step: a group identity that reflects what the two practices have always had in common, and a platform to reach more patients across Cheshire who deserve this level of care.
- Teaching & Mentorship
Shaping the Next Generation of Implant Dentists
Dr Nik’s reputation extends well beyond his two practices in Wilmslow and Northwich. He is an active figure in implant education across the UK, holding roles that speak to the trust the wider profession places in his clinical judgement and expertise.
As an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University of Manchester, he teaches fifth-year dental students and postgraduate students working towards their own MSc in Dental Implantology, the same qualification he holds. This is a meaningful role, not a courtesy title. It means he is in the room, assessing clinical work, and holding future implant dentists to the standard he sets in his own practice.
He serves as a Key Opinion Leader for Osstem UK, one of the leading global implant manufacturers, which means he is trusted to advise on clinical application and outcomes at a product level. He lectures across the UK, and his insights on cutting-edge implant techniques are sought out by other clinicians looking to improve their own results.
For patients, all of this means one thing. When they sit in Dr Nik’s chair, they are being treated by someone whose peers consider him a reference point in the field.
- His Focus
What Dr Nik Treats
Dr Nik’s clinical work is focused entirely on implant dentistry. Every treatment he carries out, from a single tooth replacement to a full mouth rehabilitation, is planned and delivered personally by him. No associates, no juniors. If your name is in his diary, he is the clinician doing the work.
Full Arch Dental Implants
For patients who have lost all or most of their teeth in one or both arches, full arch implants replace an entire set of teeth with a fixed, permanent prosthesis supported by four to six implants. The result functions and feels like natural teeth and lasts a lifetime with the right care. Dr Nik performs more full arch cases than almost any clinician in the North West.

Single Dental Implants
A single implant replaces one missing tooth with a permanent, fixed solution that looks and functions like the natural tooth it replaces. It preserves the surrounding bone, leaves adjacent teeth completely untouched, and is designed to last decades. The gold standard for single tooth replacement.

Smile-in-a-Day
Where the clinical situation allows, Dr Nik can place implants and fit a same-day temporary restoration in a single appointment, meaning patients leave with functional teeth the same day their treatment begins. A precise and demanding procedure that requires significant clinical expertise to execute well.
Zygomatic Implants
For patients with severe bone loss in the upper jaw who have been told they cannot have implants, zygomatic implants offer a solution. Rather than anchoring into the jawbone, they engage the cheekbone instead, bypassing the need for extensive bone grafting and making implant treatment possible for patients who have run out of other options elsewhere.
Implant Retained Bridge
For patients missing two or three consecutive teeth, an implant retained bridge provides a fixed, permanent solution supported by two implants. It requires no alteration of the adjacent natural teeth and delivers a result that is indistinguishable from a natural dentition.
Implants for Denture Wearers
Two to four implants can stabilise an existing or new denture so it clicks securely into place during the day and stays there. For patients who have been struggling with movement, slipping, or loss of confidence while eating and speaking, this is often a significant improvement in quality of life at a fraction of the investment of fully fixed teeth.
Complex Implant Cases and Referrals
Dr Nik accepts referrals from other dental practices across Cheshire and the North West for cases that exceed the scope of general implant practice. Failed implants, severely resorbed bone, zygomatic and pterygoid placements, full arch rehabilitation in medically complex patients, these are the cases other clinicians bring to him. If you have been told your case is too difficult, book a consultation and let him assess it properly.
