Facial Aesthetics in Cheshire

Subtle, expert treatments to soften lines, restore volume, and complement your smile. Administered by experienced dental clinicians who understand facial anatomy deeply and take a conservative, natural-first approach to every treatment.

Looking Refreshed Should Not Mean Looking Different

There is a version of facial aesthetics that most people have seen and nobody wants. The frozen forehead. The overfilled lips. The stretched, unnaturally smooth skin that signals treatment from across the room. Results that shout rather than whisper, that prioritise the dramatic over the natural, and that leave people looking like a different person rather than a better version of themselves.

That is not what we do at Heritage Smile Group.

Our approach to facial aesthetics is rooted in restraint. The goal of every treatment we administer is a result that your friends might describe as you looking well-rested, refreshed, or somehow brighter, without being able to say exactly why. Not a result that announces itself. A result that simply makes you look like you, but on a very good day.

This approach is not just a preference. It is directly connected to the clinical background of the people administering the treatments. At Heritage Smile Group, facial aesthetics are carried out by dental clinicians who have spent years studying the detailed anatomy of the face, the muscles, the nerves, the blood vessels, the structures beneath the surface. That depth of anatomical knowledge is the foundation of safe, precise facial aesthetics work, and it is one of the strongest arguments for having these treatments carried out in a dental setting rather than in a beauty clinic or high-street treatment room.

Why Your Facial Aesthetics Are Safer in Dental Hands

Facial aesthetics treatments, particularly anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, involve injecting substances beneath the skin in areas of the face that are anatomically complex. The proximity of blood vessels, nerves, and other structures means that an injection placed incorrectly, even by a fraction, can cause complications ranging from bruising and asymmetry to, in rare cases, more serious outcomes.

Dental clinicians spend years studying the detailed anatomy of the head, neck, and face as a core part of their training. They are trained to administer injections with precision in one of the most sensitive and complex anatomical regions of the body. They understand the layers beneath the surface of the face intimately, not as an add-on qualification but as the foundation of their clinical education.

This is why an increasing number of patients are choosing to have their facial aesthetics carried out at dental practices rather than in beauty salons or aesthetic clinics staffed by practitioners without this clinical background. The treatment is the same. The level of anatomical understanding behind it is not always comparable.

At Heritage Smile Group, facial aesthetics are offered as a complement to dental treatment rather than as a standalone commercial service. We treat patients who want subtle, natural results administered conservatively by clinicians who know the face thoroughly and who will always recommend the most appropriate treatment for the individual rather than the most comprehensive or most profitable one.

Treatments Available at Heritage Smile Group

  • Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Soften Lines and Restore a Natural, Refreshed Appearance

Anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most commonly requested treatments we offer and one of the most misunderstood. When administered conservatively by an experienced clinician, the results do not freeze or immobilise the face. They soften the dynamic lines that develop from repeated facial expressions over time, reducing their visibility while preserving natural movement and expression.

The treatment involves small injections of a purified protein into specific facial muscles. The protein temporarily relaxes the muscle activity that causes dynamic wrinkles, reducing the depth and visibility of lines in the treated area. The effect builds over the following seven to fourteen days and lasts for approximately three to four months initially, with some patients finding the duration extends with repeated treatments over time.

Areas commonly treated:

Frown Lines

The vertical lines that develop between the eyebrows from repeated frowning. Often one of the first areas patients want to address because the lines can make a rested face appear irritated or tense even when neither is the case.

Forehead Lines

The horizontal lines across the forehead that develop from raising the eyebrows. Softening these lines without completely immobilising forehead movement is a key part of achieving a natural result.

Crow's Feet

The fine lines that radiate from the outer corners of the eyes. These are a common early concern for patients who spend a lot of time outdoors or who are animated in their expressions.

Bunny Lines

The fine diagonal lines that appear on the sides of the nose when smiling or scrunching. A subtle treatment area that can make a significant difference to the overall appearance of movement lines across the mid-face.

Brow Lift

A carefully placed treatment that can create a subtle lift to the outer portion of the brow, opening the eye area without surgery. The effect is gentle rather than dramatic.

Jaw Slimming

Injections into the masseter muscle can reduce the appearance of a squared jaw, creating a softer facial contour. This treatment can also provide meaningful relief for patients who grind their teeth, reducing the masseter muscle activity that contributes to bruxism-related discomfort.

  • Dermal Fillers

Restore Volume and Definition with Precision

Dermal fillers use a hyaluronic acid gel injected beneath the skin to restore volume that has been lost through the natural ageing process, or to enhance and define specific features. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the body, making it well tolerated and reversible in the event that a patient wishes to dissolve the filler at any point.

The results of dermal filler treatment are immediate and visible on the day of the appointment, though some initial swelling may mean the final settled appearance takes a few days to be fully visible.

Our approach to dermal fillers is consistently conservative. We do not overfill. We do not aim for dramatic volume changes. We aim for the kind of subtle enhancement that makes a patient look like themselves at a slightly younger age, with the natural proportions of their face maintained throughout.

Areas commonly treated:

Nasolabial Folds

The lines that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth deepen with age as the cheek volume above them reduces. Restoring volume in this area softens these lines naturally rather than simply filling the fold itself.

Lip Enhancement

Lip filler to add subtle volume, improve symmetry, or restore volume that has reduced with age. Our approach is always to enhance the natural lip shape rather than to dramatically change it. We do not aim for results that look overfilled or disproportionate to the rest of the face.

Lip Borders

As lips age, the definition of the lip border can reduce and fine lines can develop around the mouth. A small amount of filler placed precisely at the border restores definition and can reduce the appearance of lipstick bleeding around the edges.

Cheek Enhancement

Restoring or enhancing cheek volume lifts and defines the mid-face, often reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds and under-eye hollowing at the same time. Cheek filler placed conservatively is one of the most versatile anti-ageing treatments available.

Tear Troughs

The hollow under the eye that creates a tired or shadowed appearance is one of the most impactful areas to treat when the concern is looking fatigued. Tear trough treatment requires a particularly precise and conservative approach and is one of the most technically demanding filler treatments we offer.

Jawline Definition

Filler placed along the jawline can sharpen and define the lower face, improving the overall contour and balance of the face. A defined jawline creates a more youthful and structured appearance that complements the results of dental treatment.

Why Facial Aesthetics and Smile Transformation Work So Well Together

The face is a whole. Changes to the teeth and smile affect how the rest of the face looks, and vice versa. This is why facial aesthetics and dental treatment are increasingly considered together rather than separately, and why the combination of the two at Heritage Smile Group produces results that are more cohesive than either treatment alone could achieve.

A patient who has had a full set of veneers fitted but has deep lines around the mouth may find the dental result is slightly undermined by the surrounding tissue. Softening those lines as part of the overall treatment plan allows the dental result to sit in a more refreshed context, making the whole face look better rather than creating a contrast between a bright new smile and ageing surrounding skin.

Similarly, a patient who has filler to restore cheek volume and soften nasolabial folds will often find the improvement is significantly enhanced if their smile is also brighter and more confident-looking. The two treatments support each other in a way that is hard to replicate when they are treated in isolation.

Dr Natasja considers facial aesthetics as part of the broader aesthetic picture when planning cosmetic dental treatment for patients who are interested in both. A combined plan designed to work as a whole produces a more coherent result than individual treatments planned separately.

What Our Facial Aesthetics Patients Say

“I had been thinking about anti-wrinkle treatment for a couple of years but was worried about looking frozen or obvious. My experience at Heritage Smile Group was completely different to what I feared. The result is so natural that I have had several people tell me I look well but not one person has asked whether I have had anything done. That is exactly what I wanted.”

A Consultation That Is About You, Not About Upselling

Our facial aesthetics consultations are relaxed and genuinely informative. We will listen to what you want to change, assess what is appropriate for your face and your goals, and give you an honest picture of what each treatment can realistically achieve.

We will never recommend more treatment than is appropriate for your situation. We will never pressure you to combine treatments you have not asked about. And we will always explain clearly what each treatment involves, how long the results last, and what the recovery period looks like, before you commit to anything.

If we feel that a treatment you are asking about is not appropriate for you, we will tell you and explain why. Our reputation is built on honest, conservative work and patients who come back because they trust us, not because they were oversold.

There is no obligation following a consultation and no pressure to proceed on the day.

Questions Patients Ask About Facial Aesthetics

Anti-wrinkle injections using botulinum toxin have been used in medical and cosmetic settings for decades and have a well-established safety record when administered by a qualified clinician who understands facial anatomy. At Heritage Smile Group, treatments are carried out by dental clinicians whose training is grounded in the detailed anatomy of the face. Side effects such as bruising, redness, or minor asymmetry are possible but temporary. Serious complications are rare and are minimised further when treatment is administered by an experienced clinician.

Most patients return to normal activity immediately or within a few hours of treatment. Minor redness or tenderness at injection sites typically resolves the same day. Bruising is possible, particularly with filler treatment, and can take a few days to resolve. We advise avoiding vigorous exercise, alcohol, and direct heat for 24 hours after treatment.

Anti-wrinkle treatment results build gradually over seven to fourteen days as the muscle activity reduces. Dermal filler results are visible immediately, though initial swelling may mean the settled result takes 48 to 72 hours to be fully apparent. A review appointment at two weeks is included for all new patients to assess the result and make any minor adjustments.

Anti-wrinkle injections wear off naturally over three to four months and do not need to be reversed. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be dissolved at any point using an enzyme injection if a patient wishes to remove the filler before it metabolises naturally. This reversibility is one of the reasons hyaluronic acid fillers are consistently preferred over permanent or semi-permanent filler products.

Facial aesthetics treatments at Heritage Smile Group are available to patients aged 18 and over. We do not offer facial aesthetics treatments to patients under 18 under any circumstances.

No. Facial aesthetics treatments including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding and will not be administered under these circumstances. We will always ask about pregnancy status at your consultation and treatment will not be administered if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

In some cases, yes, depending on the treatments involved. Dr Natasja will advise on the most appropriate sequencing at your consultation. For patients who are having a significant course of dental treatment alongside facial aesthetics, it is often better to sequence the treatments thoughtfully rather than combining them in a single appointment.

Treatment costs depend on the area being treated and the amount of product required. Your exact cost will be confirmed at your consultation. There is no obligation to proceed following a consultation and no pressure to commit on the day.
