Common Questions About Dental Implants in Cheshire
Are dental implants suitable for me?
Most adults with missing teeth are suitable for dental implants. Bone loss, gum disease, and certain medical conditions require individual assessment but rarely rule implants out entirely. If you have been told implants are not possible for you elsewhere, a second opinion from Dr Nik is always worth having.
Can the treatment really be done in a single day?
Yes, in many cases. Our Smile-in-a-Day procedure places a full arch of fixed temporary teeth on the same day as the implant surgery. The final permanent prosthesis is fitted three to four months later once integration is complete. Not every case is suitable for same-day treatment and Dr Nik will advise at your consultation.
Will it hurt?
Implant placement is carried out under local anaesthetic. Most patients find the experience much more comfortable than they expected. Post-operative tenderness for a few days is normal and managed with over-the-counter pain relief. Sedation is available for patients who prefer treatment in a more relaxed state.
Why are some practices cheaper?
Implant costs vary based on the qualifications of the placing clinician, the quality of the implant components, and the rigour of the planning process. Dr Nik holds an MSc in Implant Dentistry from the University of Manchester, uses evidence-based implant systems, and plans every case using 3D digital imaging. Those factors are reflected in our pricing and in our 99.9% success rate.
What if I have significant bone loss?
Bone loss does not automatically rule out implants. Depending on the extent, options include bone grafting, sinus lifting, or zygomatic implants that anchor into the cheekbone. Dr Nik has specific training in complex bone loss cases and accepts referrals from other practices for exactly this reason.
